Ever the optimist

Just a quick wee post before I getting in full morning swing!

It will soon be the breakfast club run - currently Em and Ben are in the living room, Ben playing on Mario and Emily singing to Taio Cruz ;) and then home for a quick cuppa and to get ready for work!

Work must be better today, the past two days have been pants! After two inspections on Tuesday and endless sickness, annual leave and general tutt, there has been endless cover. I normally don't get involved in day to day cover but it was so bad I did and since have lost Tuesday to this.

I am optimistic that today (Thursday) *will* be infinitely better *ahem* and I will actually do my job... What is that again? ;) I am hanging on in there and trying to do right. It seems though that everything in place there is made to make you fail. I however will not be battled down.

On a lighter note: I made this card with my background chevron stamp from Studio Calico and Hero Arts. I used a brilliance pearlescent ink on craft card, it looks so pretty. The phrase is a unity stamp, using white ink - although I would've preferred to embossed the image with white... I had no white powder left :( A good excuse to go shopping, right?!!

Howdy!

Here I am! Blogging is calling me again. Somewhere to get my making up and jot my life down.

Today, I had work *as always tough* and then came home to make this pretty card. I used my unity stamps (I love this set alot, the font is lovely!). And glue dots to make this pin wheel - far easier than wet glue and it holds it all together!

Last weekend I worked at The big stamp and scrapbooking show at Ally Pally. It was fun! I love seeing heaps of crafters all under one (leaking!!) roof. I brought some fab new stamps too and now have my eyes on a new set of inks - by hero arts... The colours are divine!
I didn't get much chance to look around really... I went to the woodman and brought a beautiful mdf album which I shall be using for my December daily :) I just need to work out how I am going to bind it as the front covers aren't attached to the side. Really looking forward to starting that one though!

Two days left at work *sigh* and then a weekend off! Lie-in is in sight. Emily and Ben started breakfast club this week and so it's been early mornings this week and to get earlier once I start my new job *can't wait*.
This weekend Kev is out, so I am planning lots of crafting... Perfect weekend ahead!
